बिना ज्ञान केवल कर्म परित्याग से मूर्ख निष्कर्मता रूप सिद्धि को नहीं पाता

A fool does not attain wisdom/completeness in the form of inaction (not doing work), merely by renunciation of action without understanding it.

जो मूर्ख वाक् हाथ-पैर कर्मेंद्रियां रोके हुए मन से उनका चिंतन करते हैं ,वह मिथ्याचारी पाखंडी कहलाते हैं |

The fools who think of sensory topics/feelings with their mind holding back their speech, hands and feet, are called hypocrites.

सांसारिक कर्म के कारण ही बंधा हुआ है ,मुक्त होने में कर्म ही बाधक है, किंतु यज्ञार्थ कर्म बंधनकारक नहीं होता | यज्ञकर्म सृष्टि के व्यापार के सुचारू रूप से संचालन में सहयोग देते हैं |

One is bound due to worldly work, only work is a hindrance to liberation, but selfless/sacrificial work (work aiding natural sustainable matter creation processes in universe) does not bind. Yagyakarma(selfless work for steady,sustainable natural matter creation in universe) helps in the smooth running of the process of creation.

जो सृष्टि के धारणार्थ  यज्ञचक्र को आगे नहीं बढ़ाता वह मानो पाप को चाह रहा है अर्थात पापरूपी जीवन है | सांख्यमार्ग से सिद्धावस्था प्राप्त कर चुके व्यक्ति के लिए भी कर्म आवश्यक है, जिससे उसे देख अन्य भी निष्काम कर्म की प्रेरणा लेते रहे तथा मूर्खों में बुद्धिभेद की स्थिति ना हो | यज्ञ का अर्थ आत्मसमर्पण से है ,संपूर्ण संसार एक यज्ञ है ,निष्काम कर्म का जीता-जागता दृष्टांत है | यह सृष्टि-चक्र यज्ञ की भावना, आदान-प्रदान की भावना, स्वार्थ नही अपितु परार्थ की भावना ,आत्मसमर्पण,त्याग सह अस्तित्व की भावना से आगे बढ़ेगा |

The one who does not move forward the natural creation cycle for the conception of the universe, as if he is seeking sin, that is, he lives a sinful life. Karma(work) is also necessary for a person who has attained Siddhavaastha(completeness/oneness with the soul) through Sankhyamarg (theoretical knowledge), so that seeing him, others also take inspiration for selfless action and there should be no misguidance to fools. Yagya means self-surrender, the whole world is a Yagya, a living example of selfless action. This matter creation-destruction cycle will run smoothly on the spirit of sacrifice/selflessness, the spirit of exchange, the spirit of altruism, self-surrender, co-existence.

जो मनुष्य केवल आत्मा में ही रत,आत्मा में ही तृप्त और आत्मा में ही संतुष्ट हो जाता है, उसका स्वयं का ऐसा कोई कार्य शेष नहीं रह जाता, जिसका करना आवश्यक हो |

One who is absorbed only in the Self (soul/conscious), satisfied in the Self and contented in the Self, no work of his own remains to be done.

संसार में कर्म करने से प्रवृत्ति से ना तो उसे कुछ सिद्ध करना है और न ही कर्म न करने से  निवृत्ति से कुछ पाना होता है ,न ही उसे किसी इच्छित वस्तु की प्राप्ति हेतु किसी पर निर्भर रहना पड़ता है |

By action (doing work) in the world, he neither has to achieve anything , nor does he not get anything by retirement (by not doing work), nor does he have to depend on anyone to get anything he wants.

यज्ञ भावना से आत्मा को समर्पित कर्म ही आत्मा को परम श्रेय प्राप्त कराते हैं |

Only the work dedicated to the soul/conscious with the spirit of Yagya (selfless work that naturally aids steady,sustainable creation processes in universe) is most beneficial to the soul.

निष्काम भाव से कर्म करने के अतिरिक्त लोकसंग्रह हेतु कर्म करना ही उचित है |

In addition to doing work with no desires, it is appropriate to do work for public well-being.

श्रेष्ठ आत्मज्ञानी योगी जैसा आचरण करते हैं, साधारण व्यक्ति भी उसी प्रकार का आचरण करते हैं |

Ordinary people also behave in the same way as the best enlightened Yogi behaves.

यदि मैं कृष्ण ब्रह्मा कर्म ना करूं तो यज्ञचक्र जिससे सृष्टि का व्यवहार चलता है, बंद होने से यह सारा संसार नाश हो जाएगा,अतः ज्ञान प्राप्त होने पश्चात भी ज्ञानी को लोक संग्रहार्थ  कर्म करना आवश्यक है |

If I, Krishna, (Krishna as narrator refers to himself as totality of all energy in the universe, hence the basis of everything in universe) don't do  Karma i.e. work (example ,pure massless energy i.e electromagnetic radiation interacting to make mass particles like matter, anti-matter), then this physical world will not exist as there is no creation cycle, so even after getting knowledge, it is necessary for the wise to do work for the welfare of the world.

लोक संग्रह की इच्छा रखने वाले ज्ञानी जन को कर्मफल आसक्ति छोड़कर उसी तत्परता से कर्म करना चाहिए  जैसा कर्म में आसक्त मूर्ख करते हैं |

A wise man desiring to work for public well-being should give up attachment to the fruits of action/work and work with the same eagerness as a fool who is attached to work and works for the sake of physical objects or fulfilling worldly desires.

ज्ञानी कर्मफलसक्त मूर्खों से अकर्मण्यता की भ्रांति उत्पन्न ना करें ,स्वयं श्वेत स्थितप्रज्ञ हो अपने कर्तव्य कर्मों को करते हुए अन्यो को भी सत्कर्मों में प्रेरित करें |

The wise should not create the illusion of inaction (not doing work) among the fools who are busy with their actions (working for selfish motive/goal). The wise should be self-conscious (doing work for self and other souls' benefit in mind) and inspire others to do good deeds while performing their duties.

प्रकृति के सत रज तम गुणों से ही सभी कर्म हुआ करते हैं, अहम्कार से मोहित मूर्ख स्वयं को करता समझता है अर्थात शरीर से संयुक्त आत्मा को एक मानता है, इस प्रकार मूलतः अकर्ता होते हुए भी आत्मा में कर्ता भाव आ जाता है |

All the actions (work) are done by the Sat Raj Tam gunas [3 energy forms interchanging from one to another -sat (electromagnetic wave energy) , raj (matter kinetic energy) ,tam (matter potential energy)] of the nature. A fool who is deluded by ego considers himself to be the doer, that is, considers the soul united with the body as one, in this way, despite being basically a non-doer, the soul becomes a doer (in the mind of the fool).

तत्ववित् व्यक्ति जो आत्मा अकर्ता जानता है, बल्कि उससे सम्बद्ध सत्व रज तम गुण ही गुणों में वर्त रहे हैं, प्रवृत्त हो रहे हैं | अतः उनके जाल में नहीं फँसता है |

The wise person (who knows energy as the basis of everything in the universe) who knows the soul/conscious (electromagnetic radiation) as non-doer (not engaging in energy exchanges; hence not doing work as done in physical world interactions), rather the sat, raj, and tam gunas associated with him are interacting with the outside world(3 energy forms interchanging from one to another -sat , raj ,tam ). Knowing this, the wise don't get trapped in the trap of worldly objects/interactions.

जो श्रद्धावान् कृष्ण की बातों में दोष ना ढूंढे और अनुष्ठान करें, वे सभी कर्मों के द्वारा छोड़ दिए जाते हैं अर्थात कर्मफल बंधन उन्हें नहीं बांधता |

Those devotees who do not find fault with Krishna's (Krishna as narrator; referring to himself as the total energy and basis of everything in the universe) words and do their duties selflessly keeping self and others soul/conscious benefit in mind and do work that naturally aids steady matter creation cycle in the universe, are released by all actions, that is, the bondage of karma(work) does not bind them.

प्राणी प्रकृति स्वभाव अनुसार व्यवहार करता है, हठपूर्वक इंद्रियों की वृति को मारना संभव नहीं है, चतुर उचित संयम द्वारा इंद्रियों की स्वाभाविक वृतियों को लोक संग्रह के कार्य में लगाता है |

A living being behaves according to nature, it is not possible to kill the natural instincts/behaviour of the senses by obstinacy, the clever engages the natural instincts of the senses in the work of public welfare by proper restraint.

स्वभाव के अनुकूल धर्म ही स्वधर्म है | परधर्म, जो अपने स्वभाव के अनुरूप नहीं है कुछ समय के लिए प्रयत्नपूर्वक अच्छी प्रकार से अनुष्ठित कर भी लिया जाए तो भी अल्पगुण वाला अपना सहज प्राप्त स्वधर्म ही श्रेयस्कर है |

Swadharma(work according to one's own nature) is the natural field of work for any being. Paradharma(work which is not according to one's own nature), even if it can be practiced well for some time with effort,but one's self-acquired natural field of work of low stature(as deemed by society) is better.

रजोगुण से उत्पन्न काम और क्रोध मनुष्य का पाप विषय में प्रेरक है |

Lust/desire and anger arising from the raj guna(agitated unsteady mind) lead a man to sin.

काम से ज्ञान ढका हुआ है |

Knowledge is covered/hindered by desires/lust.

इंद्रिय,मन,बुद्धि कामरूपी शत्रु का अधिष्ठान या आश्रय है | इंद्रिय संयमित कर ,ज्ञान-विज्ञान नाश करने वाले काम को नष्ट कर दे |

The senses, the mind and the intellect are the abode or refuge of the enemy in the form of desires/lust. Restrain the senses, destroy the desires/attachments that are obstacles in the path of knowledge and science.

इंद्रिय शरीर से उत्कृष्ट है, मन इंद्रिय से पर है, बुद्धि मन से, आत्मा बुद्धि से पर है |

The senses are superior to the body, the mind is superior to the senses, intelligence is superior to the mind, the soul is superior to intelligence.
